Poppyseed Biscuits with Balsamic Strawberry Flambe

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. bread flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 3 oz.s cold butter
  • 2 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • zest of one orange
  • 1 oz. poppy seeds
Instructions

Serves 4. Combine all ingredients. Spoon on to parchment paper into little mounds. Bake at 350 degrees until golden, 10 minutes. Strawberries 1 lb. strawberries, washed 2 oz. butter 1/4 cup Kirschwasser 1 Tbsp. brown sugar 1 tsp. balsamic vinegar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 cup heavy cream Melt butter, briefly saute strawberries. Flambe with Kirschwasser. Add remaining ingredients. Reduce to consistency and taste. Spoon berries and cream over the biscuits. Garnish with whipped cream and mint.
