Peach Crisp

Ingredients

  • 4 c peeled, pitted, sliced or chopped peaches
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c water, liqueur, or fruit juice
  • 3/4 c flour
  • 1 c white or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • few gratings nutmeg
  • /2 c butter, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

Butter a deep baking dish or pie plate. Put in the plate:4 c. peeled, pitted, sliced or chopped peaches, 1/4-1/2 c. water, liqueur, or fruit juice (depending on how juicy your fruit is). Mix with a fork, then spread over the fruit: flour, white or brown sugar, cinnamon, a few gratings nutmeg, butter, chopped, salt. Bake at 350 F until the fruit is tender and the crust browned (about 30 min). Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
