Deluxe Cake Mix Fudge Balls
Easy dessert recipes don't get much more delicious than these Deluxe Cake Mix Fudge Balls. Chocolaty, fudgy and with just the right amount of kick from a bit of rum, these dessert balls will be the hit of your next party. We've seen our fair share of recipes using cake mix, but this one rises to the top for its amazing flavor and fudgy texture.
Ingredients
- 1 package Moist Deluxe Butter Recipe Fudge Cake Mix
- 1 cup pecans or walnuts, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon rum or rum extract
- 2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- pecans or walnuts, finely chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

Prepare, bake and cool cake following package directions.

Crumble cake into large bowl. Stir with fork until crumbs are fine and uniform in size.

Add 1 cup nuts, rum, confectioners sugar and cocoa. Stir until well blended.
- Shape heaping tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls. Garnish by rolling balls in finely chopped nuts. Press firmly to adhere nuts to balls.
