Amandelkrullen (Dutch Almond Curls)
Ingredients
  • 40 grams shaved almonds
  • 50 grams castor sugar (superfine)
  • 1 egg
  • wooden sticks, such as lollipop or popsicle sticks
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven on 175C degrees (350F degrees).
     
  2. Beat egg and mix with sugar and almonds.
     
  3. Put little heaps of batter (teaspoon-sized) on a greased tray. They need to be about 8 centimeters  apart.
     
  4. Flatten the heaps with a fork.
     
  5. Bake in oven for 10 - 15 minutes.
     
  6. Remove from oven and leave on tray for 3 minutes.
     
  7. Remove cookies from tray.
     
  8. Immediately after removing a cookie from the tray, wrap it around a wooden stick.
     
  9. Leave cookies to cool around stick.
     
  10. Store in airtight container.
