As simple as these cookies are, they can definitely be even more amazing with some creativity! I was thinking of some chopped nuts, almond paste, or a reese's cup just as a few examples. Also, to totally change the recipe up, you could turn these into little pies or turnovers with some fresh or canned fruits like apple, lemon, or berries!
