Granola bars are my favorite. My mom used to make this recipe. It's a great one for a nice dessert at a picnic. It's a quick recipe aside from the 2 hours it has to set.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups granola cereal
  • 3/4 butterscotch flavored chips
  • 1/2 cup dried apple pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped salted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup raisins
Instructions
  1. In 1 quart saucepan combine corn syrup and butter.

  2. Meanwhile, in large bowl stir together all remaining ingredients.

  3. Pour corn syrup mixture over cereal mixture; toss to coat well.

  4. Press mixture into greased 9-inch square pan.

  5. Cover; refrigerate at least 2 hours or until set.

  6. Cut into bars.
