Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground peeper
  • 4 cups favorite tomato sauce
Instructions

Put the entire head of cabbage in a pot of boiling water. Turn the stove off and let the cabbage sit for 6-8 minutes. Remove it and take the largest outside leaves off. Mix all of the filling together. Lay out a large cabbage leave and put 2 tablespoons of filling into leave (more or less depending on size of leave) in a log shape. Fold ends of leave in then roll up repeat until finished filling. you may use a toothpick to hold together. Put one cup of sauce into a large casserole pan place rolls into pan. Add remaining sauce on top of the cabbage rolls. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 35-45 minute. Serve with a hot loaf of Italian or French bread.
