It's very much like a rich french toast but with savory bacon, it gives it a heartier taste. I made this for a church retreat and it was so helpful to be able to make it on Friday morning and refrigerate it all day. We left Friday evening and since it was cold from frig, it did well on the 90 minute trip. I put it back in frig when we got there and Monday morning I popped it in the oven and by the time our teaching was done. so was our delicious brunch!
