Ingredients
  • 1 1b. creamery butter
  • 1 lb. sugar (2 1/4 cups)
  • 3 Tbsp water
Instructions

Combine in heavy saucepan and cook to 250 degrees. Add 1 cup of ground almonds and cook to 300 degrees, stirring all the time. This burns easily so stir constantly, and do not leave it at any time. Pour onto greased cookie sheet. Pour a few chocolate chips on the hot candy. They will melt and can be spread to coat it. To coat the other side you can melt some chocolate chips.
