Get silky smooth and super sweet peanut butter flavors engulfed in rich creamy milk chocolate with this delightful treat. Dessert recipes like this are almost sinful; these Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Truffles were created by Tess Gardner at Slow Cooking Kitchen.

Yields: 36

Preparation Time: 30 min

Ingredients
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 4 (to 8) blocks chocolate flavored Almond Bark
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening (optional)
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine peanut butter and butter. Using an electric mixer, beat, on low, until smooth. Add sugar and continue mixing on low until well blended. Line baking sheet with wax paper; set aside.
  2. Scoop approximately 1 tablespoon peanut butter mixture into your hand and roll into a ball. Repeat until all mixture has been rolled (approximately 36 truffles). Refrigerate for one hour.
  3. In a microwave safe measuring cup, melt 4 blocks of almond bark, on 50% power, for 30 seconds at a time, until completely smooth and melted. If it appears too thick, add vegetable shortening to thin.
  4. Remove peanut butter balls from the refrigerator and gently poke one end, using a wooden skewer, then roll in melted chocolate until covered. Place on wax paper to dry.
  5. Once dried, drizzle remaining chocolate over tops to form a design. Allow chocolate to set completely before serving. Store in an airtight container, in the refrigerator, for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!
