Ma's Peanut Butter Fudge

My Ma's Peanut Butter Fudge is a a holiday classic. Made with real peanuts, this sweet chunky treat is great to give to friends and family. This dessert recipe will make you want to make it year round.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 1 pound confectioner's (icing) sugar
  • 1/3 cup dry powdered milk
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 to 1 cup chopped peanuts
Instructions
  1.  In top of double boiler, combine butter and peanut butter and melt.
     
  2. Sift together sugar and dry powdered milk; set aside.
     
  3. Add corn syrup, water, and vanilla to the peanut butter mixture. Stir in about half the dry ingredients, blend well, then add the remaining dry ingredients.
     
  4. Blend until very smooth. Stir in chopped peanuts. Turn inbto a buttered 8" square pan. Cut into squares.
