Date Nut Balls

Ingredients
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 (8 oz) package dates, cut up
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions

Cook together for 5 minutes margarine, sugar, egg, dates and salt. Remove from heat and cool. Add nuts, cereal and vanilla. Stir well and shape into small balls. Roll in flaked coconut.
