Campbell's Tomatoey Sweet and Sour Meatballs

There are a lot of Campbell's soup recipes out there, and everyone has her favorite Campbells tomato soup recipes. This one is mine. Its combination of sweet and sour is just delightful, and it pairs very nicely with a crusty loaf of French bread. Mmm-mmm!

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped fine
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 10-ounce can Campbells tomato soup
Instructions
  1. Mix chuck, salt, pepper, onion and oatmeal.

  2. Make into balls about 1" in diameter; do not brown.

  3. Combine sugar, lemon juice and soup and pour over meatballs.

  4. Cook one of the following ways:

    • In a Crock-Pot: 2-3 hours on high.  This is the best way to do them.

    • In a 350F degree oven for 1 1/2 hours (turn over 1/2 way through)

    • On top of the stove in a pot for 1-2 hours
