Does the frosting take granulated sugar or powdered sugar???

Usually, frosting is made with powdered, or confectioner's, sugar. But, since this "frosting" is cooked, I would use granulated sugar.

I cooked this today. It is a really good and simple cake and I don't really like pineapple! Moist is the word for the cake and it has been added to my favorites.
