Lots-O-Love Poke Cake

When Jell-o and cake mix combine together, it makes one of the moistest, fruitiest cake recipes out there. Share Lots-O-Love Poke Cake with your loved ones and enjoy a slice of happiness. Made with raspberry and lime Jell-O it is then frosted with Cool Whip to give it the dreamy flavor that we love. Slice into the cake and see all the wonderful colors that are perfect for the holiday season. Festive, easy, and down right good, you have to give it a try.

Ingredients
  • 2 baked 8- or 9-inch white cake layers, cooled
  • 1 package pkg (3-ounces) raspberry flavor Jello
  • 1 package pkg (3-ounces) lime flavor Jello
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
Instructions
  1. Make cake as instructed on the box into two separate layers. Let them completely cool.
     
  2. Place cake layers, top sides up, in two clean 8- or 9-inch layer pans. Prick each cake with fork at 1/2 inch intervals.
     
  3. Meanwhile, dissolve each package of Jello separately in 1 cup of the boiling water.
     
  4. Carefully pour raspberry Jello over one cake layer and lime Jello over the second cake layer.
     
  5. Chill 3 to 4 hours, Dip one cake pan in warm water for 10 seconds
     
  6. Unmold second layer carefully onto the first layer. Frost top and sides with remaining topping. Chill.
