Delicious recipe! I've made this dozens of times to rave reviews.

wud it b possible 2 use sugar substitute??????

I have been making this cake for years, and it is frequently requested for potlucks. I upped the "decadent" factor a little by using cream cheese frosting with just a drop of lemon extract in it. It's not overkill at all! Just make sure it's thoroughly chilled. Yum yum!

Thanks for the great tip about the Cool Whip! -Editors of RecipeLion

Very refreshing after a heavy meal. Used Cool Whip instead of frosting.

This is a wonderful cake! Made it for a birthday, and everyone loved it. If you have enjoyed the jello type cake in the past, this will fit your taste. Even the kids loved it! I didn't use frosting, I used Cool Whip instead. It is a refreshing dessert.
