Not trying to be a critic but it does state to poke holes in cake Mona Lisa

Who is writing these recipes ? Looks like they left out, to poke holes in cake and then pour in the jello !!!! Some people may not know this and if they just dump a cup of jello over the cake, they are going to have a big mess !!!!....and I would not put the pudding on the cake....I would just use cool whip with a bit of orange reason for this pudding.......just sayin....................

This sounds just wonderful! I am definitely going to try it, after we've got our remodeling done....LOL! I know that Duncan Hines makes the orange cake mixes; I've bought several, and they are wonderful! I use cake mixes ALL the time......they sure do save a lot of time, especially for very busy people like me! Thanks for the fantastic recipe!

I don't like using cake mixes so I would just make a cake with orange flavoring...or make a white cake with orange jello.

Awesome, awesome. Used sugar free jello and pudding keeping calories low.

Hi Scorpio Lady - You can make as many holes as you would like. And if you are worried about the Jello seeping out of the holes, you can make it so the holes do not go all the way through the cake. However, since the Jello holds in solid form, this shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps! -The editors of RecipeLion

@ crazy mama - Duncan Hines makes orange cake mix. It might not be available in all grocery stores but it can be purchased online. -The editors of RecipeLion

Please tell how large and how many holes should be made in the cake and it seems to me if the holes are made to go to the bottom lots of the jellow would end up on the plate under the cake. I remember when there was an Orange Dream cake Mix on the market but that mix like the Orange Cake Mix seems to be gone so now I color a white cake mix with orange food coloring add grated orange rind and the juice of one orange added to the water or using orange tea for the water works also. It is a pretty cake and well received.
