Amalgamation Filling

Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 8 egg yolks
  • 1 pound raisins
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 cup coconut (original called for 1 grated coconut)
Instructions

Cream butter, add sugar and beaten egg yolks. Cook in double boiler to thicken, stirring frequently. Takes about one hour. Add raisins, nuts, and coconut. Use as filling for a 3-layer white cake. Frost with 7-minute frosting. Must be refrigerated.
