Fabulous Dinner Muffins

It's not a complete dinner without some bread and butter to go with it. These Fabulous Dinner Muffins are easy to make and have a great flavor. Baked until they are golden brown, enjoy when they are warm with a spread of butter. Try something different with your muffin recipes and make them a savory rather than sweet treat.

Ingredients
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons celery seed
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup low-fat milk
  • 2 teaspoons onion flakes
  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, onion flakes and celery seed thoroughly.

  3. Add the grated cabbage and stir into the dry ingredients.

  4. Whisk the eggs, milk and melted butter together well. Add to dry ingredients and stir quickly, making sure it isn't over 10 sec.

  5. Spoon into greased muffin pans and bake for 20 minutes.
