Brownies for Dummy's

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 1/2 ounces baking chocolate
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 beaten eggs
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Melt chocolate and shortening in a pot on the stove. Mix well. Let cool.
- While it cools, mix together remaining ingedients. Add eggs last, then fold in chocolate mixture and blend thoroughly.
- Pour into a 9x9" greased and floured baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 30-40 minutes. Use the toothpick test.
- A little underdone in the center is okay. Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar while still warm. Cut into 8 pieces.
