2 Ingredient Miracle Donuts

When it comes to cooking, why do more work than you need to? That's why we love shortcut recipes, and these 2 Ingredient Miracle Donuts are about as easy as they get. They're made from canned biscuits, and the only other thing you need is a cinnamon and sugar mixture to coat them. Simply tear a hole out of the center of a biscuit, fry them in a deep fryer, and sprinkle them with sugar. It's that easy. You can also use powdered sugar or a glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.

I Love this 2 Ingredient Miracle Donuts recipe. It just doesn't get any easier then this. Once you have the basics you can get creative from there. Poke a hole in the middle and cover with cinnamon/sugar or powdered sugar, leave them whole and squirt some jelly inside, or if you're feeling really adventurous, squirt some vanilla pudding inside and cover with a chocolate topping. Let your imagination run wild, and treat your family to this great recipe.

I had to come here and see what these donuts were all about. My son loves donuts and I have never made them myself. We live in South Africa and sadly we don't get canned biscuits here. Someone did tell me though that you can deep fry bread dough and then follow the same steps. I can buy ready made bread dough. Does anyone have any tips about that?

I've made these before and have been impressed by how easy they are! However, there's more than 2 ingredients involved (biscuit dough, oil, toppings, etc). The flavor and texture aren't exactly the same as a bakery. They taste like funnel cake or zeppoles. Not bad but just a little different than your typical cake or yeast donut!

Doughnuts are my weakness. I wouldn't mind trying to make my own!

I laughed as I read your story about "country" living! We live 13 miles from the nearest store, they just started closing at 8 P.M. on Fri.and Sat. nights because the new dollar store carries lots of groceries and they close at 9PM! We make a major run once a month and have been known to go to Kroger when my son has to go to the V.A. clinic!! I LUV Kroger!!
