Aloha Bread

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 Pound loaf
  • 8 ounces can crushed pineapple in juice, drained, juice reserved
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup reserved pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon margarine or butter, softened
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut, toasted
  • 1/3 cup pecan or walnut halves
  • 1 tablespoon dry milk
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
Instructions

2 Pound loaf 8 ounces can crushed pineapple in juice, drained, juice reserved 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup reserved pineapple juice 1 tablespoon margarine or butter, softened 4 cups bread flour 2/3 cup shredded coconut, toasted 1/2 cup pecan or walnut halves 1 tablespoon dry milk 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon packed brown sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 3/4 teaspoons yeast Measure carefully, placing all ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Sweet or Basic/White cycle. Use medium or light crust color. Do not use delay cycle. Remove baked bread from pan and cool on a wire rack.
