Gooey and magical definitely describe these bars. I think a chocolate cake mix would work great! Or maybe even a strawberry cake mix to make a pbj bar? Also, a made-from-scratch batter should work well, too. The consistency may be different but just adjust your baking times!

This looks really yummy! I like that it's easy since you use a cake mix for the base, although I'm wondering if a made-from-scratch cake would work too? Or if you could substitute a chocolate cake for the base? Either way, the peanut butter glaze on top looks absolutely amazing! When I first saw the picture I thought they would be more like Hello Dollies, but these are a delicious and different taste altogether!
