I'm always on the lookout for different snacks to make while watching games on TV and this is a really great one. I love tacos, and this is an ingenious version of them. I could easily see making up a plate of these for us to share in front of the TV. I love how versatile the wonton wrappers are in making different sorts of snacks and appetizers, and this is a great use for them.

I love this idea! And the use of won ton wrappers is pure genius. I will be experimenting with this idea with different fillings, a lumpia type recipe using lumpia type wrappers, a variation using little dough cups and filling, and the won ton wrapper idea with desert ingredients such as maybe an apple pie crumble type thing. Cannot wait to play around with this one!

I've made these before and they are cute and taste good, but I found that the edges of the tortillas tend to brown too quickly and too much. I just put a piece of foil over the whole lot for the first 5 minutes then remove it to finish cooking and it does the trick. This is a cooking activity I use with my preschoolers in my home daycare. They push in the tortillas and spoon or sprinkle the fillings in. They are better eaters when they've prepared the meal themselves!

What a great idea BeckySue! You're right! Kids do eat better when they've helped prepare their food. And with this recipe it would be easy to tailor it to individual likes and avoid food allergies. Thanks for the tip on the edges browning too quickly and the foil trick. I thought maybe that was the case from the picture. Great remedy though!
